I believe that everyone can learn and the best way to learn is in a positive, supportive environment. I always tailor the lesson plan to each individual student, so music and study materials are geared towards the individual for maximum interest and accomplishment. I keep in mind each student's goals so that they can remain interested in, and excited about music.
I'm a corporate musician specializing in classical and jazz performance, averaging 100 performances per year. I recently spent 10 years teaching clarinet at a magnet school for performing arts, and before that spent 10 years with the US Air Force bands, appearing as a frequent soloist. I have taught privately for 30 years, and have taught students of all levels, including many with mental and physical challenges.
