Lessons with a critically acclaimed NYC Jazz Saxophonist
Teaching Philosophy

Supportive and encouraging, I guide students step-by-step toward mastery of the saxophone and musical expression. My method as a music teacher is to streamline the learning process, removing obstacles and guiding students toward their goals at a natural pace. Every student is unique and each lesson is tailored to the student's individual strengths, challenges, and interests.

I have taught private lessons for children and adults of all ages for over 27 years and at educational institutions including; Drew University in Madison New Jersey, where I was instructor of saxophone, improvisation, and jazz ensemble; The International School of Brooklyn teaching music to children ages 3 to 7 years utilizing the "Orff" method; and the Kulanu after-school enrichment program in Stamford CT, coaching teen Klezmer ensembles.

I have earned a Master of Music degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from William Paterson University of New Jersey. I perform with many leading improvisors in New York City, and have released fifteen records as a leader. I have performed throughout the United States and internationally, including concerts in Sweden, Germany, Austria, France, Hungary, Portugal, and Canada.
