Inspiration is not the only thing you need to write music.
Teaching Philosophy

Composition is more than waiting for a song to come to you, and a variety of things can lead to inspiration. Certain techniques can be applied to all aspects of a song - melody, harmony, rhythm, lyrics - and lead to the confidence that one needs to capture the attention of a listener.

I have been playing jazz professionally for the past four years after a hiatus and concentrate on compositions that use improvisation as a part of the song, not the center of it. Examples of my compositions are available on both my band website and CD Baby

Completed study at Musicians Institute in 1981
