My lessons are tailored to the appropriate goals, interests, and level of the student. If you are a complete beginner, or are resuming lessons after a long hiatus, I strive to make the lesson fun and stress-free, while providing you the fundamentals that allow you to quickly play the music you are passionate about. If you are focusing on songwriting or improvisation, I help you study artists you feel a kinship with to develop your unique voice.
I have been an Adjunct Professor at New England Conservatory, New England Conservatory Extension Division, Boston College, California Institute of the Arts, and many music preparatory schools in Boston, Los Angeles, and Washington DC.
Bachelor of a Music with Distinction, New England Conservatory; Master of Music with Distinction, New England Conservatory. Featured saxophonist in "The African Game" by George Russell (nominated for two Grammies.) Numerous songwriting awards, including Gold and double Finalist in the 25th Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (2009) in the R&B category.
