Premiere band saxophonist, Eastman DMA, University teaching experience, passion and warmth
Teaching Philosophy

Music is language, and therefore is about connection, relationship, giving, and sharing. This is the guiding principle in my approach to teaching. Building great tools (i.e., technique) is important, but what they're used for is the key. My hope is that every student's playing becomes an achievement of their best selves, and that the quality of their playing affords them great opportunities to create joy and satisfaction through music.

Experience

-US Naval Academy Band jazz and concert saxophonist
-University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, full time faculty of applied saxophone, chamber music, music theory, music appreciation, and jazz improvisation
-Red Line Sax Quartet, REED5 chamber groups
