I view the saxophone as an extension of our own being. The more we experience in life, the more we have to communicate through the saxophone. It is my mission to help people communicate more effectively through the saxophone, by tapping into the technical potential of the instrument. In addition, it is more than just becoming a better musician, but becoming a better human being.
I've been playing the saxophone since fifth grade. I just graduated from the University of Michigan School of Music with my Bachelor's in music studying saxophone performance under Professor Donald Sinta. I have been a part of numerous ensembles, have premiered numerous works, and have performed in both my own recitals and recitals of fellow musical colleagues, in addition to being a participant in the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition and a part of multiple composer forums premiering new works. I have been teaching saxophone for about 7 years, and have had many students participate in blue lake fine arts camp, and succeed in competitions in Michigan.
