I'm here to help you find your voice and discover the music within you.
Teaching Philosophy

I am here to help you achieve your musical goals, and realize your full potential as a musician. All it takes is focus, patience, dedication, and persistence for you to become the kind of singer, piano player, songwriter, performing/recording artist that you want to be. Or maybe you just want to learn the basics of singing so you won't be embarrassed to sing "Happy birthday" among friends. Maybe you just want to learn the basics of music theory so you can write your own songs. Whatever it is, I can help you get there, as long as you are willing to meet me halfway.

I've been singing my whole life, but started my formal training at the age of 9. I started playing piano and guitar and writing songs in my teens. I continued my training throughout high school and college, and after I got my Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Musicians Institute in 2006, I began teaching private voice and piano, group beginning keyboard classes, and Broadway Summer Camps, while also performing in multiple indie rock bands in LA. I still continue to remain an active performer with several musical projects, and am now working on a Master's degree in Music Education through Boston University. Music is my passion, and I love passing on the gift of learning to play and sing.
