My teaching methods are always about the student and learning process first and the paycheck second. I believe that teaching should go past the scheduled meeting time. I always encourage my students to call/email me with any questions before our next meeting time. I teach with a non-biased approach to style & genre. I teach the musicality with the style & music that makes you happy with adaptability, open-mindedness, creativity and passion.
I have been teaching private lessons in music composition, music theory, music history, guitar, piano, percussion, and javanese gamelan for over 5 years. I have been commissioned by groups such as Friends of the Gamelan and Con Brio. I have performed at Pritzker Pavilion at Chicago's Millennium Park and the Chicago Cultural Center amongst others. I have composed for solo, chamber, large ensemble, orchestral, and electroacoustic music.
