Teaching Philosophy

Learning to play the piano is fun and rewarding! A strong education in music fundamentals enables you to branch out into any area of music whether it is classical, jazz/pop, or even learning another instrument. Studying piano will help you to read music, understand how music works, and will help you become a better performer.

Experience

Pianist and composer/arranger Adam Bendorf's teaching experience includes private and group instruction in piano, music theory, music history, and improvisation for all ages. Adam also coaches chamber music ensembles and has performed as a chamber musician in past years. Adjudicating experience includes the California Reflections composition competition and the ACSI piano festival. Adam is adjunct faculty at The Master's College in Newhall, CA.

Credentials

Adam Bendorf recieved his degree in piano performance from The Master’s College. Recent performances include the International Los Angeles Franz Liszt Competition and a collaborative performance with duo partner and wife, Anna, in a presentation of several of Brahms’ Hungarian Dances at Occidental College. Adam has performed in master classes for the likes of Garrick Ohlsson, Menahem Pressler, and Nelita True.
